Across the economy, around half (44%) of businesses have skills gaps in basic technical areas, and incident management skills gaps have increased from 27% in 2020 to 48% in 2024 (Gov.uk, 2024). Considering the increasing number of Cyber Security threats in recent times, the UK Government Cyber Security Strategy 2022-2030 has highlighted the need for developing cyber security skills and knowledge to meet the skills shortage in the cyber domain.
In response, this BSc (Hons) Computing with Cyber Security Technology programme aims to develop your knowledge and skill set in information governance, information assurance, cyber security risk management, and penetration testing as a countermeasure against cyber-attacks. You will also learn and develop skills in digital forensics.
