The Engineering Management program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a four-year undergraduate major that integrates engineering principles with management science to train professionals capable of planning, organizing, controlling and optimizing engineering projects and operations across agricultural, industrial and infrastructure sectors. The curriculum combines foundational coursework in engineering economics, project management, construction technology, cost estimation, contract management, quality control and risk assessment with business-oriented subjects such as organizational behavior, supply chain management and decision analysis. Emphasis is placed on both technical understanding and managerial competence, enabling students to oversee complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle. Through case studies, practical exercises and internship opportunities, students develop skills in project planning, resource allocation, problem-solving and leadership. Graduates are prepared for careers in engineering consulting firms, construction and infrastructure enterprises, agricultural engineering projects, government agencies and corporate management, where they contribute to successful project delivery and the strategic management of engineering-related activities.
