The Animal Nutrition and Feeding Science program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a four‑year undergraduate major that focuses on the principles of animal nutrition, feed formulation and the science of feeding animals for optimal health and productivity. The curriculum combines foundational knowledge in animal physiology, biochemistry, digestive biology and metabolism with applied training in nutrient requirements, feed ingredient evaluation, diet formulation techniques, and the effects of nutrition on animal growth, reproduction and health. Students also learn about feed processing technology, feed quality control, feed additive application and nutritional strategies that support efficient and sustainable livestock, poultry and aquaculture production. Emphasis on laboratory experiments, diet formulation exercises and field practice equips graduates with both theoretical understanding and practical skills. Graduates are prepared for careers in feed industry research and development, animal production and farm nutrition management, quality assurance, agricultural extension services, and research institutions, where they contribute to improving animal performance, feed efficiency and sustainable animal production systems.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
