The International Foundation Studies Programme is a year-long, full-time foundation programme designed to enable international students to progress onto undergraduate programmes in Ireland.
It sits on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) at Level 5 as a Specific Purpose Certificate in International Foundation Studies award. It has equivalency with Level 4 on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). This qualification is internationally recognised. This is a 120 FET credit qualification which equates to approximately 60 ECTS. All students who successfully complete the IFP are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at one of our partner universities.
Extra Notes
This program is designed to prepare students for entry into a wide range of undergraduate degrees at top-ranked Irish universities. IELTS required score will be 5 with no band less than 5 in writing. PTE required score will be 43 with no band less than 43 in each section. For this program, the maximum accepted gap is 3 years after high school.

* NOTE : Pathways : Students who want to pursue a Graduate Degree through a particular University but are unable to meet the university requirements for the GPA, GRE/GMAT or English Language scores, have to take up an additional academic and language support i.e. pathways in order to ensure the admit and study at the desired University.
