The Agricultural Resources and Environment program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a four-year undergraduate major focused on understanding, managing and protecting land, water, soil and biological resources within agricultural and rural systems to promote sustainable development. The curriculum integrates foundational sciences such as soil science, hydrology, ecology, environmental chemistry and geographic information systems (GIS) with applied courses in natural resource assessment, environmental monitoring, pollution control, sustainable land use and resource conservation technologies. Students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through field surveys, laboratory experiments and case studies, learning how to evaluate resource conditions, diagnose environmental problems and design solutions that balance agricultural productivity with ecological health. Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental protection agencies, land and resource management departments, agricultural extension services, research institutions and consulting firms, where they contribute to sustainable resource use, environmental assessment and policies that support resilient agricultural ecosystems and rural environments.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
