The Applied Chemistry program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a four-year undergraduate major that provides students with a solid foundation in chemical science and its practical applications across agriculture, industry, environmental protection and materials. The curriculum integrates core chemistry disciplines — including organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemical thermodynamics — with applied areas such as chemical synthesis, materials chemistry, environmental chemistry and industrial chemical technology. Students learn essential laboratory skills, experimental design, chemical analysis techniques and problem-solving methods through classroom instruction and hands-on lab work. Emphasis is placed on linking theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, preparing graduates to understand chemical processes, develop solutions to technical challenges and contribute to innovation in chemical production, quality control, environmental monitoring and research. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in chemical industries, environmental and food testing laboratories, research institutions, quality assurance, technical services and related fields, or for further graduate study in chemistry and applied science.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
