International Economy and Trade at Nanjing Agricultural University is a social-science and business-oriented program that focuses on the principles, practices and analytical frameworks governing trade and economic relations in the global marketplace, with special attention to agricultural and rural sectors. The curriculum combines international trade theory, global economic policy, cross-border marketing, foreign investment, international finance and trade law with practical skills in export-import operations, trade negotiation, market analysis and global supply chain management. Students learn how international markets function, how to evaluate competitive environments, and how economic and trade policies shape opportunities for domestic and global enterprises—especially those linked to agriculture, food production, agribusiness and related industries. Through a mix of theoretical coursework, case studies, data analysis and practical trade simulations, graduates are prepared for careers in international business, trade consulting, global market strategy, export-import management, economic analysis and international policy, or for further advanced study in economics, international business and related fields.
