The Japanese (Language and Literature) program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a four-year undergraduate major within the College of Foreign Studies that prepares students to become proficient in Japanese language, culture, and communication while also building strong analytical and cross-cultural skills. Established in the 1990s, it was among the earliest Japanese programs in China’s agricultural universities and now includes strong academic foundations in Japanese linguistics, literature, translation, and cultural studies. The curriculum combines core language training with cultural practice, international exchange opportunities, and practical applications, enabling graduates to work in areas such as international communication, translation, business, education, and cultural exchange. The department also emphasizes overseas study partnerships and student participation in international contests and professional activities to enhance language ability and global perspectives.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
