The Environmental Engineering program at Nanjing Agricultural University is an established engineering discipline offered through the College of Resources & Environmental Sciences, focusing on the application of scientific and engineering principles to prevent, control, and remediate environmental pollution and protect ecosystems. It trains students in understanding and solving real‑world environmental problems by integrating fundamental knowledge in water and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste management, environmental monitoring and assessment, and pollution control technologies. The curriculum typically combines courses in environmental chemistry and microbiology with practical engineering subjects such as water pollution control engineering, air pollution control, and environmental quality evaluation, preparing graduates with both theoretical understanding and hands‑on skills for designing and managing environmental engineering systems. Students also develop competencies in environmental project management, sustainability planning, and environmental impact assessment. Graduates are equipped for careers in environmental protection agencies, engineering consulting firms, research institutions, and industrial sectors, addressing challenges in pollution control, resource reuse, and sustainable environmental management. The program is recognized for its strong research and practical training in environmental protection and is part of NAU’s nationally accredited engineering offerings.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
