The Juris Master (professional Master of Law) program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a graduate-level professional degree offered by the university’s Faculty of Law that aims to train high-level, practice-oriented legal professionals with a solid foundation in legal theory, practical skills and ethical standards. Established with approval from China’s Ministry of Education and authorized at NAU in 2014, the program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and legal practice in areas closely related to economic and agricultural law, reflecting the university’s strengths in rural and “Three-Rural” (agriculture, rural areas, farmers) legal issues. Students study a broad range of legal subjects—including constitutional law, civil law, economic law, administrative law and specialized fields such as agricultural law, food safety law, land law and environmental resources law—while gaining practical experience through moot court, legal clinics and community legal services. Graduates are prepared for careers in judicial, administrative, legislative and legal service sectors, including roles as lawyers, legal counsel, corporate legal professionals and other law-related practitioners who can address complex legal problems in government, enterprises and society.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
