The Soil Science program at Nanjing Agricultural University is a core discipline within the College of Resources & Environmental Sciences that focuses on the formation, composition, properties, functions, and sustainable use of soils as essential natural resources. It covers fundamental soil principles such as soil mineralogy, chemistry, biology, water and air relations, nutrient cycling, and soil ecology, as well as applied topics including soil fertility management, soil conservation, and soil resource evaluation and protection to support agriculture, environmental quality, and ecosystem health.
