The Technological Economics and Management program at Nanjing Agricultural University is an interdisciplinary management discipline that integrates technology, economics, and business strategy to prepare students for leadership roles in technology-driven organizations and innovation-oriented industries. It focuses on understanding the economic principles underlying technological development, the processes of technology evaluation and commercialization, and the management of innovation, R&D projects, and tech enterprises. The curriculum combines core subjects from economics and management—such as microeconomics, managerial economics, project evaluation, innovation management, and technology strategy—with analytical tools for assessing the economic feasibility and market impact of new technologies. Students learn to analyze cost–benefit trade-offs, market trends, investment decisions, and strategic planning in contexts where technology plays a central role. Graduates are equipped to work in corporate strategy, technology consulting, innovation management, project evaluation, and policy analysis within both public and private sectors, especially in fields where advanced technologies and economic decision-making intersect.
