Industrial Catalysis at Nanjing Tech University is a specialised science and engineering discipline focused on the design, development and application of catalysts and catalytic processes that accelerate chemical reactions in industrial systems while improving efficiency, selectivity and sustainability. The programme integrates core principles from chemical engineering, materials science, surface chemistry and reaction kinetics to understand how catalysts work at molecular and nano-scale levels, how reaction pathways can be optimised, and how catalytic technologies are applied in large-scale chemical production. Research and training cover areas such as heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, catalyst synthesis and characterisation, reaction engineering, process intensification and environmental catalysis, with emphasis on innovative solutions for energy conversion, pollution control, green chemical processes and fine chemicals manufacturing.
