At Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology discipline is an advanced engineering field that explores the theory, computation, design and practical applications of electromagnetic fields, waves and microwave systems. It integrates fundamental principles from electromagnetics, signal propagation, high-frequency circuit design and antenna theory with hands-on analysis and system development. Students learn to model and simulate electromagnetic behavior, design microwave components and antennas, and apply these technologies in communications, radar systems, wireless networks, remote sensing and high-frequency electronic devices. The curriculum combines rigorous theoretical study with laboratory experiments and engineering projects, preparing graduates for careers in telecommunications, aerospace, defense, wireless technology, radar and satellite systems, as well as further research in areas such as RF engineering, photonics and advanced electromagnetic applications.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
