The Mechanics program at Nanjing University of Science and Technology is a foundational science and engineering discipline that studies the behavior of physical bodies under the influence of forces and motion. It covers both theoretical and applied mechanics, including areas such as solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, continuum mechanics and computational mechanics. Students learn to analyze and model mechanical behavior of materials and systems, understand deformation and stress responses, and apply mathematical and numerical methods to solve engineering problems. The curriculum combines rigorous theoretical coursework with practical laboratory work and research, preparing graduates for careers in engineering analysis, product design, structural analysis, materials testing, aerospace, automotive and manufacturing industries, as well as for further study or research in mechanics and related interdisciplinary fields such as materials science, civil and mechanical engineering.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
