The Physical Electronics program at Nanjing University of Science and Technology is an interdisciplinary science and engineering discipline that explores the fundamental physical principles of electronic phenomena and their applications in advanced electronic and optoelectronic devices. It focuses on understanding and applying the interactions between electric charges, electromagnetic fields, quantum effects, semiconductors, and nanostructured materials to develop technologies such as semiconductor devices, micro-/nano-electronics, photonic devices, sensors and energy-related electronic systems. The curriculum blends rigorous coursework in quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, semiconductor physics, nanotechnology and device physics with experimental training and research, enabling students to analyze and design next-generation electronic and photonic materials and devices. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in electronics and semiconductor industries, research and development, materials engineering, and advanced technology innovation, as well as for further academic study in physics, materials science and electrical engineering.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
