Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (hereafter ZUEL) is a key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, a key university sponsored by “211 project”, “985 Project Innovation Platform”, a national university of world-class universities and world-class disciplines (“Double World-Class”). ZUEL is the university jointly founded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and Hubei Province.

ZUEL has a far-reaching history, steady and fast development. The predecessor of ZUEL is Zhongyuan University which was founded in 1948 during the War of Liberation by the Central Plains Bureau of the CPC Center Committee with Deng Xiaoping as the First Secretary and Chen Yi, the Second Secretary as the director of Preparatory Committee.During the reconstructing of national high education institutions, Zhongnan Institute of Finance and Economics and Zhongnan College of Politics and Law were established respectively in May 1953 on the basis of the School of Finance and Economics and the School of Political Science and Law of Zhongyuan University, integrating high-quality financial and political education resources of universities in six provinces of South-central China.

Accommodation

Foreign student apartments are the resident places specially provided for international students. Single room: 1350/month Double room: 750/month

Basic apartment facilities include bed, writing desk, chairs, wardrobe, bookshelf, reading lamp, fridge. Every room has been equipped with an air conditioner, a bathroom where you can take shower. In the building, students can use the laundry room and kitchen. Public kitchen devices are for free access. Automatic washing machine is activated by coin.

Placement

Notes

To travel to Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), fly into Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH), the nearest airport, then take a direct bus (during peak arrival times), taxi, or subway to the campus in Wuhan, Hubei. The university often provides special shuttle services from the airport for new international students during enrollment periods for convenience.

From Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH):

University Pick-up (Recommended for New Students): ZUEL offers direct airport pick-up services for new international students during specific arrival dates (check with the university for exact dates). Look for designated waiting areas at Terminal 2 (Gate 9) and Terminal 3 (Gate 12) for direct buses to the university.
Taxi: A taxi is a direct option, though it can be more expensive. The journey from WUH to ZUEL is about 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.
Metro (Subway): Take the Airport Line (Line 2) from Tianhe Airport Station towards Optics Valley, transfer to Line 1 (or other connecting lines) to get closer to the university's location in the Wuchang District.
Airport Shuttle Bus: Direct shuttle buses to the city or major transport hubs are available, from which you can transfer to local buses or metro lines to reach ZUEL.
