National College of Ireland (NCI) (Coláiste Náisiúnta na hÉireann (CNÉ) in Irish) is a not-for-profit, state-aided third-level education institution in Dublin. It was founded in 1951 as a joint venture between the Jesuits in Ireland and Irish trade unions, and was originally named the Catholic Workers College, Dublin.

Accommodation

On-campus student accommodation facilities are located in the heart of the IFSC, adjacent to Dublin City Centre.

This purpose built state-of-the-art campus is located in the heart of Dublin's Financial Services Centre. The student accommodation consists of 53 apartments offering a total of 286 separate study bedrooms. The apartments vary in size from three to eight bedroom study units, each having en-suite toilet and shower facilities. Each apartment has a generous-sized living area, including a fully fitted kitchen/dining area. Each en-suite study bedroom is fitted with a desk, walk-in wardrobe/storage space.

Accommodation is only 5-10 mins walk from O'Connell Street, Dublin City Centre
Serviced by two bus routes (151 & 90) and 70 bus routes terminating within the vicinity
5-10 mins walk to Tara Station, Pearse Station, and Connolly Station
Located beside Busaras Bus Terminal which services all country routes
Located beside Dublin Docklands train station.

Placement

Work Placement offers are made through the Careers Team in NCI. Students accept the first offer of placement they receive through the Careers Team. Employers then liaise directly with the students regarding contracts. Students, employers and NCI sign a tri-party agreement before placement starts.

Established in 1951, NCI has always had a sole focus on providing skilled leaders to meet the current and future demands of its industry partners. It is a Government funded institute, with a strong focus on delivering an outstanding learning environment, personal development opportunities, and unrivalled links with business and the public sector. National College of Ireland offers a variety of full-time and part-time courses in the areas of business, finance, psychology and computing.

With a huge choice of societies, sports activities, volunteering and social events, students days as an NCI student will have an impact on their today, tomorrow and for the rest of their life. NCIs Students Union is the representative body for all students, both domestic and international, within the college. All students are actively encouraged to become involved in the Students Union so that they can directly influence life on campus and organise events.

There are lots of great Clubs & Societies to get involved with on campus. Whether students are a sports enthusiast, enjoy being part of team, share a special interest or enjoy being engaged in the community there is bound to be an opportunity for all students to participate. Also, if a club or society doesnt already exist students can set one up.
