We are a public university, founded on August 6, 1868 as a Higher School of Commerce and recognized today at a national and international level for the results of our research and the quality of our teaching , of an international and interdisciplinary nature. Our university community has over 23,000 students, and 1,400 people between teachers and staff, from all over the world. The main headquarters is in a large Gothic palace in the heart of Venice , overlooking the Grand Canal, and other locations are spread throughout the historic center of Venice, in Mestre and Treviso. We are part of EUTOPIA , an alliance of ten European universities, and our Alumni community has 80,000 contacts throughout the world.

Accommodation

Ca’ Foscari University owns two student residences in Venice: Camplus Santa Marta and DoveVivo Campus Venezia near San Giobbe, and a third one in Mestre, Via Torino, next to the Scientific Campus. Ca’ Foscari also has agreements with private residences and colleges.

The Career Service is the University's service that prepares you to enter the job market, following your ambitions and expectations. You can contact our offices to improve your CV and attend appointments dedicated to career guidance and skills development. The Career Service supports you in starting internships and organises various opportunities throughout the year to meet and introduce yourself to companies. The LEI project particularly promotes the employability of young women.

Notes

Founded on August 6, 1868 as the “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce), Ca' Foscari was the first Italian institution to deal with advanced education in Business and Economics. The original main office is still found in the grand gothic palace “volta de canal” (on the bend of the Grand Canal), in the heart of Venice.
