Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are crucial for the national transformation to produce a knowledgeable and innovative society. Thus, this program aims to provide knowledge and skills relevant to science and also industrial revolution.

Students will be equipped with fundamental science knowledge in the first year of study, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Several courses that possess the elements of the Industrial Revolution, such as Data Science for Scientists, Computer Interfacing & Control and Bioinformatics, are also included to produce holistic graduates ready for employability.

Before the end of the preliminary semester, students will need to choose one track. Three tracks are available: Biotechnology, Chemical Technology and Material Technology. At the end of the program, students will be required to undergo five (5) months of practical training in related industries.
