MSE What is Materials Science and Engineering? Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) is an interdisciplinary field which deals with the discovery and design of new or high-performance materials constituting modern civilization and industrial developments.

Mechanical, electrical, optoelectronic, and eletrochemical properties of metals and ceramic materials are utilized for the transport machinery, semiconductor devices, energy and environmental devices such as batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, and also medical applications.
