Psychology is a field of study that scientifically research minds and behaviors of human beings so it is located in the point of intersection between Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Especially Psychology is one of the most basic and representative field of study amongst behavioral science, which is a field of study that forms the center of anthropology. In order to understand the minds and behaviors of human beings, psychology adopts research method of scientific research methodology that are based on the empiricism. In detail, experiment, psychological testing, field observation, research study and case study are practically used as psychology research method. As we face increase of social interests on psychological problems and wellbeing of individuals, who are situated in the complex society on the present day, by keeping up with scientific research on the minds and behaviors of human beings, the role of psychology is becoming important day by day since it is the basis of all other studies that contribute towards the improvement of human understanding.

Original documents must be submitted. If unavailable, copies must be certified by the issuing institution or by Sogang University within the submission period.
Documents in languages other than Korean or English must be accompanied by a notarized translation. Academic documents must first be translated and notarized, then apostilled or verified by a consular officer. The original apostille or consular verification must be submitted.
Applicants expecting high school graduation must submit their graduation certificate and final transcript by January 2026, once they are accepted. If not possible, they must contact Sogang OIA in advance.
The applicant’s name and application number must be written in the upper right corner of all documents.
Additional documents may be required during eligibility review. The University bears no responsibility for disadvantages caused by applicant errors (e.g., incorrect contact address). Applicants with insufficient documents may be excluded from admission.
If names on submitted documents do not match, official proof of identity must be provided (issued by a court or the diplomatic head of Overseas Missions).
All submitted documents are kept by Sogang University and will not be returned.
Submitted documents must be originals issued within one year of the application deadline.
