By studying Politics and International Relations at Sussex, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how people, states and institutions defend their interests. You’ll investigate how those in power make policy, but are also held to account for their decisions.

On this course you’ll engage with the key ideas people have used to try and understand big international issues, such as:

corruption and populism

war and peace

wealth and poverty.

You’ll learn how we can we use these ideas to address the urgent challenges – climate change, human rights, terrorism and international inequality – facing the world today.
