The Science and Technology for Innovation in Global Development program at WPI offers a transdisciplinary graduate experience that equips you with the skills you will need to address complex socio-technical. Emphasizing core competencies in complex systems thinking, biomedical devices, digital development, AI, climate and environmental robotics, green design, green energy, and cross-cultural STEM education, the program focuses on low- and middle-income communities in the US and abroad.
We welcome students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to collaborate with us as we co-create innovative solutions that promote sustainability and self-sufficiency worldwide. By integrating STEM fields with development studies and languages, the curriculum fosters strategic thinking, empathy, and cross-cultural competency.
