The Office of Housing and Residential Life offers four different residence halls — including the newly built University Hall, for you to call home while living and learning at UB. Our seaside location lets you wake to water views and relax on the shore.

When looking at colleges, your food and dining options are extremely important. At UB, we do our very best to provide you with a variety of delicious options to choose from.

Marina Dining Hall is UB’s all-you-can-eat dining location with options to satisfy any craving. The dining hall operates on flexible hours to fit with your busy schedule. The menu each day includes featured entrees, vegan and vegetarian meals, Halal meals, grilled selections, deli sandwiches and a fresh, healthy salad bar. If dietary restrictions are of concern, accommodations can be made by speaking with the Executive Chef or Dining Manager.

Placement

The Center for Career Development is designed to assist students throughout the job and internship search process. Career Counselors are available to meet with students on a one-on-one basis, or in a group setting to discuss career goals and action steps to help you achieve those goals.

University of Bridgeport uses Handshake to connects you, UB, and employers together. You’ll see internships and jobs posted specifically for students, and employers actively recruiting from UB. Notes

The university, often shortened to UB, also offers several Division II Purple Knights varsity teams. For one season, the UB basketball team had a secret weapon – the 7-foot-7 Manute Bol, who later joined the NBA and then became an activist for his native country of Sudan. Besides getting involved with athletics, students can spend their time visiting the expansive Beardsley Park and the state's only zoo. Other nearby off-campus attractions include theaters, museums and shops. UB's most notable alumni include Fred DeLuca, who co-founded the Subway restaurant franchise.
